Nature Trail in the Tesino Valley

(Circular route, 10 km, 3.30h on foot, 2h by bicycle. Easy)

 

Variedpanoramic trail for those who prefer a more rigorous walk.It starts from Montalto and descends towards the ancient village of Patrignone using well-marked paths that cross the SP 23.From here you reach the church of the Madonna delle Grazie and thereafter move on to the so-called “tour of the hill”.From the church, turn right to enter the Pratoleditch and go up on the opposite side, in ContradaSant’Emidio.From here, you can decide to extend the trail towards Contrada Valle Bianca, or go down into the Tesino valley continuing to ContradaSant’Emidio, with the possibility of taking several marked detours for descents through vineyards and broom bushes.

Once in the valley, continue towards Montalto briefly on an asphalted roadand then go up toContradaMonti, until you reach the Sistine ridge at the intersection with the SP 23, which, in a few hundred meters will finally return you to the starting point.

To fully enjoy the variety of landscapes the itinerary is best done on foot or by bicycle.
